BML Throughout the Years

inspired and given the idea from a good friend rivotter, I really wanted to go back and see how the character I know as BML had built up from the humble beginnings, and man I looked back far and found some old art I haven't flipped back to in years...memories

either way all the major info on the changes are on the artwork itself, however their are some funfacts that I should address for this that I couldn't add onto the artwork itself

#1: The unused sword was ment to be a contrast to a sword of another character of mine, being white and a broadsword compared to the other characters black obsidian blade, it would have been made of "finite" which was an incredibly rare metal that was as hard as obsidian, I decided to scrap it after realizing I couldn't do much with it

#2: At first, BML's wings would be part of his anatomy, making him only a human with wings, but soon decided once the matter glove idea came into play that it would just be white marks on the back of his sweater, and with the use of the magic matter gloves he could cause the marks to sprout into wings, allowing flight

#3: This is something only long time friends would know, starting out as a SM64 movie maker (heck some of my old SM64 videos are still on my youtube channel) BML's colorations and design was based on a color code I had for SM64 (think of it like sonic OCs, just take Mario and recolor) but soon after once the whole SM64 video thing started losing popularity I decided to fix up BML to be more original, hence the blue and black shirt, and now the sweater he wears to this day

#4: BML along with another character named BLYL (younger and more scared brother) have a black and blue and a white and light blue coloration, this was unintentional but soon ended up becoming a little fun secret that they are based off of Dewott and Oshawott, BML being the adventurous and wild one of the two while BLYL is secluded and usually hides behind his brother to seek help

after that, that's about it when it comes to BML design wise, from a character that seemed nothing more but a color code in 2011 to a character that really has grown on me from just how long I've had him, this doesn't mean I won't branch out to new characters, but definitely BML is one I'll never forget because of this
